Sinus Lifting

Sinus Lifting is the procedure that is performed in order to provide sufficient bone amount as a result of sagging in the sinus cavities, which is a problem for implant treatment.

As a result of sagging in the sinus cavities and in cases where there is bone loss in the mouth, there may not be enough bone tissue in the posterior region of the upper jaw for implantation. Sinus grafting, in other words sinus lifting operation, is the filling of these cavities and making the edentulous areas suitable for implant treatment. During the procedure, the sinus membrane is separated from the hard tissue, that is, the bone, and it is aimed to cover the area with bone by filling the space between with graft material.

After the sinus lifting treatment is performed, bone loss in the posterior region of the upper jaw (maxilla) is made suitable for implant treatment.
