Partial Dentures

Partial Removable Dentures are used in cases where the abutment teeth are too large to support the bridge prosthesis to be made, or when the areas with missing teeth do not terminate with another tooth at the end. These are dental and tissue supported prosthetic applications. For tooth support, the tips called crochet are attached to the part of the tooth under the convex area close to the gingiva, therefore retention is ensured. In some cases, retention can also be achieved with sensitive connections that are not visible when viewed from the outside of the prosthesis. The tissue support is provided by the tissue surface on which the prosthesis sits. Thus, the force is distributed to the tooth and tissue.
